SMAU 2009
In ever changing economic-competitive circumstances, ICT technologies are essential strategic advantages for Italian businesses even though they do not fully exploit them.
Essential, since ICT can enable multiple innovations on the process, organizational, service and business relations levels and more. They can support some of the most significant management challenges in the current competition context (globalization, de-localization, lower added value activity outsourcing, market verticalization, cost efficiency and savings, shorter and controlled delivery schedules, etc.).
Poorly exploited, since not yet fully understood by SME entrepreneurs and managers, often due to their limited awareness on the improvement these technologies could bring about in their businesses or, in some cases, due to ICT solution vendors’ difficulties in contacting businesses to describe the real business benefits of using their solutions.
To promote contacts between major ICT solution vendors and business users - who often are not limited to CEOs/IT managers but also include other business managers - Smau 2009 is relaunching its format with a view to meeting both business user and ICT channel vendor needs.
The event is organized to help visitors understand the business opportunities provided by new technologies: case studies on the use of ICT in supporting business innovation, data on market trends and scenarios, workshops held by independent analysts, business workshops organized by main ICT solution providers with testimonials from their customers, customized tours, etc.
Smau 2009 thus reasserts itself as the most important and complete supply/demand platform in the Information and Communications technology business world. It is a project that aims to involve both large corporations and small and medium-sized businesses - the driving force behind the Italian economy, and leading Italian ICT providers.

Entrance conditions: access to Smau is by invitation or for a fee. The ticket price is €15.00 per day. Visitors must register online at the website www.smau.it or at the Reception at their arrival.
